2 Hours - UNDERSTANDING ADHD AND STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
This training will begin to explore the topic of ADHD and its impact on the early learner. Frequently teachers are left to question what is typical behavior versus early signs of a bigger issue. This training begins to answer that question, as participants will be introduced to a brief history of ADHD, its signs and symptoms as well as best practice interventions and strategies to support your classroom management. This training is for teachers and administrators of all levels interested in learning more of this prevalent issue.

1 HOUR - CREATING SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENTS AND PROCEDURES FOR BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS
This training will introduce participants to how they can create supportive environments for breastfeeding mothers and their infants. The course will go through how to create a breastfeeding policy, how to gain support in the child care center, how to support breastfeeding mothers, proper breast milk handling & storage, and how to furnish an appropriate breastfeeding area for mothers to feed or express (pump) milk.

2 HOURS - TEACHING STRATEGIES FOR CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH AUTISM
This training will introduce participants to the concept of first person language when interacting with children with special needs. A brief explanation of Rosa’s Law will be provided. Participants will also learn the components of Universal Design and how to structure the physical classroom to be more accommodating of all children and also how to instruct children in a more universal manner that is inclusive of all children. Participants will get an overview of autistic spectrum disorder, its causes, characteristics and specific strategies teachers can take to teach and positively interact with children in the classroom who have been diagnosed with autism. This training is for teachers and administrators of all levels who care for and teach children of all ages and abilities.

What is effect leadership and how can it be incorporated in a child care setting to improve communication between directors and their staff? This training will review what leadership is and how effective leaders deal with management issues and inspire their staff to excel. By the conclusion of this training, participants will understand their leadership type and will identify several strategies to become better leaders within their role as the child care director.

Participants will leave this training with adequate resources to start an effective classroom management policy and a solid foundation of how to conduct their classroom to encourage positive discipline practices.
